Siobhan Quirke - Osteopath
Siobhan graduated with a Masters Degree (M.Ost) from the British School of Osteopathy in London; A four year, full time course. She has previously graduated with a Bachelors of Science degree (BSc) in Health Science and Physiology from Institute of Technology, Sligo.
Siobhan treats patients of all ages and is experienced in treating a wide range of musculoskeletal conditions. She has a firm structural based training and treats accordingly, using a variety of techniques including myofascial, visceral, cranial, functional and manipulation techniques. She recognises the importance of incorporating rehabilitation exercises and breathing retraining for the treatment plans.
She has completed further training in Visceral Osteopathy with the Barral Institute. She also has an ITEC diploma in sports therapy massage. She has attended many workshops and further studies.
Siobhan recently received acclamation for her Masters researchstudies. Her research focused on Trait Emotional Intelligence among the Osteopathic student population. She was awarded second prize for her presentation at the annual research conference in AECC Bournemouth, UK.
Siobhan enjoys training for Triathlons and adventure races, she regularly goes mountain walking. She plays Ladies GAA and helps out training the minor girls team in her local club. She also has trained for many years in Irish dancing and competed to a high level.
Siobhan is registered with the Osteopathic Council of Ireland and General Osteopathic Council of England and is also a member of the British Osteopathic Association.
